This was my certification dive at a rock quarry in Rolesville, NC. Nancy had given me lessons as a birthday present because we had gone to the Florida Keys earlier in the year and she saw that I enjoyed snorkling. I also had told her how much I had liked to snorkle when I had lived in the Keys from 1965-1970.
I could only afford one post-certification dive since Nancy quit work about then to go back to school. I wouldn't have taken this dive, except that my nephew was getting married in Florida, not far from Gainesville. Since I was down there anyway, I visited Ginny Springs. I intend to eventually get re-certified.
